WK Downloader

WK Downloader is a program, which transfers data from data chip to the computer. Use it namely in case, when data are processed in a different PC, which has the WinKontrol program installed. The WK Downloader will save data on a diskette, flash memory or burned on a CD Program can also automatically send the data by e-mail. After downloading data from the chip, you will need, besides the WK Downloader, only the adapter (and possibly transfer chip.)

Installing the WK Downloader

1. Insert the installation CD in the CD drive. Introductory screen will appear.
2. Then a dialogue window will open.
3. Continue by clicking on Next
4. In the next dialogue window, you may change the directory, where the program will be installed. You may change that by manually to the location of your choice through the Browse button (we recommend this method, if you wish to change the directory location.
5. Confirm the directory location and continue by clicking on Next.
6. In the next selection, you choose, where to place the proxy in Start, with which you will open the program.
7. The Browse button will help you select the file, where the proxy will be installed. If you leave it up to the installer to create a new file in the Start, (initial setting) you may change the name of created file there.

   In the initial Start settings there will have a directory WK Downloader created, where the program proxy will be installed.

8. Continue by clicking on Next
9. Now, select where the program places other proxies. These icons make program start easy and this is why we recommend you create them.
10. Selection Create proxy icon on desktop, will create a program icon to the Windows desktop.
11. Selection Create proxy in quick start, will create a program icon on the bottom menu bar in Windows.
12. Continue by clicking on Next
13. Now, the installation is ready. Final overview will open.
14. If you wish to change some part of the installation, use the Back button.
15. If you do not want to change anything, start installation by clicking on Install.
16. Wait while installation is underway.
17. Then a dialogue window will open.
18. If you leave Start WK Downloader 2007, the program will start immediately after installation.
19. Finish installation by clicking on Finish.

First start of the WK Downloader

In case that the first start shows Communication initialization has not been successful, click on OK. This means that either the adapter is not connected or its settings must be changed in the WK Downloader. The program will start in trial mode. If the adapter is installed and connected, you have to pre-set the correct port, where the adapter will be connected. Pre-setting procedure is the same as iin WinKontrol 2007.

Working with the WK downloader

After start, initial screen will appear.

Working with the downloader is similar to most of the WinKontrol program. It is considerably easier.

Settings

In this menu, you may pre-set the language in which the program will communicate, register and pre-set the Send data by e-mail function. Items are described in the part for WinKontrol 2007 (The WK Downloader program has only some of the items).

E-mail settings

The WK Downloader program can send downloaded data through e-mail. After clicking on the this selection, a dialogue window will open.

1. If you wish for the program to always send the downloaded data by e-mail, check Send e-mail after download.
2. This will open access to other selections.
3. In the field Addressee, enter the e-mail address where the data will be sent.
4. In the next columns, you may change the sender's name, e-mail heading and text sent.
5. If you leave Ask for name of attached document, the program will ask, after each data download from the sensor, what you wish to name the file containing the downloaded data.
6. In the SMTP server field, you must enter the SMTP server of your e-mail sender. Its name may be found, for example, in the e-mail account settings (MS Outlook, etc.).
7. The program will now send a test e-mail, which is confirmed by:
8. If everything is properly pre-set, you will receive this e-mail in the address indicated in the settings.
