Quick course for basic operations

In this chapter you will find a brief description of work with the basic parts of the WinKontrol program. This concerns namely saving new items, editing, deleting entered items from database, generating reports and basic work with sensors and chips. For detailed description, go to chapter Working with WinKontrol program.

Downloading data from sensor

Detailed procedure.

  1. Touch-contact data chip (red / orange keytag) to the sensor and wait until acoustic signal announces end transfer.
  2. In the computer for route checks, start WinKontrol program.
  3. Click on Chip download icon.
  4. Touch-contact the data chip to the adapter and wait while the data is downloaded.
  5. The program will now show the statistic and will ask if you wish to generate a report, where you may do a data check (you may check them anytime later on).

Creating a basic report

Detailed reports information .

  1. Click on menu Report - Detailed report or Detailed report icon.
  2. In the open window, select a time interval, for which you wish to print out the data (week, month, year... or exact time interval, whose starting date you can select from calendar, located left and final date in the calendar on the right).
  3. Statistcs will show.
  4. Clicking on OK will generate a report.

Adding a new item in the database

Sensor, guard, checkpoint...

  1. Click on Data.
  2. Select menu, where you wish to add the new item.
  3. Click on New or Add icon.
  4. Complete the form (label or name, guard's chip / sensor serial number, or checkpoint).
  5. Confirm by clicking OK.

Deleting an item

For example, if one of the guards quits, loss / removal of some checkpoint, sensor...

  1. Click on Data.
  2. Select menu, where you wish to delete an item.
  3. Click on Edit.
  4. Click on Delete.
  5. Confirm by clicking OK.
  6. Confirm by clicking OK again.

Editing an item

For example, if the guard loses his / her chip and is assigned a new one.

  1. Click on Data.
  2. Select menu, where you wish to edit an item.
  3. In the directory, highlight an item you wish to edit.
  4. Click on Edit.
  5. Change data in the form and click on OK.

Editing route

More information about routes and settings.

  1. Click on Data.
  2. Select menu Route.
  3. Select route you wish to edit.
  4. Click on Edit.
  5. In the open dialogue window on the left, you see a list of your checkpoints, on the right, you build a route.
  6. with blue arrows, you add or delete the route checkpoints; black arrows are used to change checkpoint sequence in the route.
  7. Confirm edited route with OK.

Editing shift

More information about shifts.

  1. Click on Data.
  2. Select menu Shift.
  3. Select shift you wish to edit.
  4. Click on Edit.
  5. In the upper part of the dialogue window, you assign a sensor to the shift and determine its start and finish; on the left are your routes, on the right, routes for this shift.
  6. Green arrows add and delete routes assigned to the shift; when assigning shifts, you determine the from - to times of a shift.
  7. Confirm edited shift with OK.

Editing week

More information about week.

  1. Click on Data.
  2. Select menu Week.
  3. Select week you wish to edit.
  4. Click on Edit.
  5. Here you may change the name of a given week and assign shifts to individual weekdays.
  6. With the Exceptions key, you may add company holidays, state holidays and other exceptional events, which impact on the work schedule.
  7. Confirm edited Week with OK.

Creating a transfer chip

More about data chip settings.

  1. Click on Chip.
  2. Select Chip setup or click on Chip setup icon.
  3. Highlight selection Transfer chip and confirm by clicking OK.
  4. After being asked, touch-contact the data chip (red / orange) to the adapter and hold it there, until the program announces that a (transfer) chip was created.
