Some of you have reached out to us about having problems with sun shields. Especially in harsh environments, they were breaking or falling off. You will be happy to hear that the issue is now solved.
In response to your feedback, we have developed new security rings. They ensure that the sun shields stay in place but at the same time can be taken off for reading out data. They are made from Polyamide (PA) and have a conical shape, working as a collet.
From now on, they will come with every new order along with the sun shields. However, if you wish to purchase some for your existing TMS sensors, do not hesitate to get in touch.
Guide for installation
1. Place on the lower sun shield and then the security ring. Make sure the arrows on the ring point upward.
2. Place on the top sun shield.
3. Press the ring on to the top sun shield, securing its „legs“. Once again keep in mind the arrows should point upward.
