The TOP sun shield provides cover to ensure that the data collected by the top temperature sensor is not affected by direct sunlight.
The security ring holds the sun shield in place, preventing it from being blown off.

Sun shields BOT
From September 2022, will no longer be added to every order.
From our experience, the BOTTOM sun shield has shown to have little to no effect and will therefore no longer be included as a complementary accessory.
It was used to protect the second (middle) temperature sensor. However, we have found that using the TOP sun shield provides sufficient cover.
Nevertheless, they will still be available to purchase separately. Please refer to the price below.

Meteo shields
Complementary for every TMS extreme purchased (extras included).
This is our new and improved generation of sun shields created to complement the extreme version of our standard datalogger.
The shields are therefore less likely to break or be blown off.

Installation tool
Complementary with every TMD adapter included in your order.
The installation tool is a metal knife that can be used to create a hole in the soil before inserting the TMS datalogger.
First, insert the metal knife into the soil (you may use a hammer for this), take it out and then insert the datalogger (DO NOT use a hammer to insert the datalogger).
This will protect your TMS from being damaged during the installation.

TMD adapter
A TMD adapter is a tool for downloading data from your TMS datalogger to be used with our Lolly software.
It connects to your computer via a USB cable.
To make the connection, attach the top of the datalogger (silver top with TOMST logo) to the silver ring of the TMD and hold it in place.
The data will start downloading automatically.
Can be added as a hardware bonus from 10+pcs. Please refer to your quotation for further details.
