Solving difficulties with transferring to Windows 10
In some cases we have come across the problem with the identification of the adapter after transferring to Windows 10. The problem with the miscommunicating TMD adapter has the following solutions:
TMD adapters since 2013
Granted that you have purchased the TMD adapter in 2013 or later, you can merely install the current version of Winkontrol, which you can find on this website.
Assuming that you have been using the older version of Winkontrol before, it is sometimes also necessary to delete the file: FTD2XX.dll (it is most often located in C:\Program Files (x86)\WinKontrol\) and to add to the same folder a library which you may download >> here <<
If you are not sure when you have purchased it, you may identify the most recent type of the adapter by the detachable USB cable and the black case (including the lower part) – see picture.
If you have the older adapter made before the year 2013 it is necessary to change the VID/PID directly in the adapter. For this alteration it is crucial to send the TMD adapter to us. In that case we charge 10 EUR and the price of the transportation back.
